Museums

There’s a lot to discover at the museums in the region, stories about Vikings, Iron Age settlements, life in the countryside and at the water’s edge.  A whole string of small, friendly local museums make the trip round the fjord a real cultural and historic experience.  There is also an aeronautical museum with a large display of veteran planes.  If you visit during one of the re-enactments, or join in one of the workshops, then both adults and children alike will have some great memories to take home with them.  Check on the activity calendar for details and dates of what’s on around the fjord.
