There is a wide variety of countryside around the Fjord.  The eastern side is characterised by real heath lands, forests, meadows and streams.  The western side bears witness to the harsh nature of the North Sea.  Wind, salt and sand are harsh conditions for both animals and plants, but many manage to adapt.  Do not miss out on visits to the countryside- it is free!
