Churches

There are churches all around the Fjord, each with it’s own history connecting it to the local area.  As well as medieval churches with antique cultural treasures, there are also “young” churches built within the last 80 years.  Some of the churches are extensively decorated, while others may seem a little Spartan amongst the harshness of the West Jutland countryside.  If you are interested in the culture and history of the area, then it is well worth visiting the local churches and graveyards.  Many thanks to Knud Fussgaard, John Toft Kristensen and Pally Lykke Ravn for lending us their photos of the churches.
